The library itself always is at 50gb approximately (I erase render files because I don’t want the SSD of 2To to be full) So I have to make projects of 20/30 mins, then bind them together to have my one big projects of 2/3h each.
Then I have to hard quite, and when I restart it can work normally for 5/6 mins or more, or freeze immediately when I’m doing the action again. Sometimes when I want to copy an effect between to vids, sometimes when I open another project, sometimes when I copy a bunchs of vids from a place to another. I’m working on one project, on an external ssd of 2to, formated in Mac OS, 1.6 TO of videos all in h265 (some from Sony As3 4:2:2 10bit, some from Sony a7c, Dji mavic pro, canon r6).Įverytime i have a timeline of more than 20/30 minutes (not a lot of effects, some transitions, a LUT from colorfinale), it begins to freeze randomly. I have constantly to divise the project in 2 or 3 to avoid the problem… My FCP is freezing a lot on big projects …
